Wish E3 Preview

GameSpy has put together a preview of Mutable Realms' Wish, based upon what they saw of the Ultra MMORPG at this year's E3. A snippet:
This emphasis on continually changing content also allows players to have a lasting impact on the game world. Many early RPGs felt static: if a town was "under attack" by monsters, it was always under attack by those monsters and you could always go there to fight them. With Wish, everything is truly dynamic. If 50 monsters attack an area, it's safe again once all 50 are killed. Players will get more than bragging rights when they accomplish something big: Bards will sing songs about heroes who finish big quests, and player names will appear in newspapers around the world to tell others about the event. The developers can also make permanent changes to the world: during the beta a ruthless warlord was finally killed by a player after causing problems for weeks, and the developers are erecting a permanent statue of that hero for all to see.
