Silent Storm Reviews

The reviews keep coming in for Nival and JoWood's Silent Storm, and these latest two are very positive. The first is over at The Adrenaline Vault with an overall score of 4.5/5:
Silent Storm offers some of the best strategy gaming on the market today. A couple of bugs and graphical issues distract it from living up to its full potential but it would take a miracle to completely mask the fantastic experience that lives here. Anybody who even kind of liked Jagged Alliance or its sequel should have already left by now for the store to pick up a copy. If you've never played a strategy title and want to see what the big deal is, Silent Storm is a great place to start.

And the second is at FiringSquad with an overall score of 88%:
Even with its replayability and late-game problems, Silent Storm is really the best turn-based tactical game ever. Yes, it doesn't have the strategic aspects of X-Com, but no game has such advanced combat. Not Jagged Alliance 2, not the X-Com games, not Fallout: Tactics. We eagerly await Nival Interactive's take on mercenary operations (and the requisite greater freedom) with the upcoming expansion Sentinels.
