Star Wars: KotOR Reviews

A trio of glowing reviews for LucasArts and BioWare's Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic hit the web earlier today. The first is at PC GameWorld with a 92%:
I'm playing through the game a second time, and the game is much better the second time through. Knowing what to expect, it's easy to ignore the parts of the game that annoyed me and simply enjoy what the game offers: excellent gameplay and an immersive story.

The second is at Jolt.co.uk with a 87%:
Overall Knights is a great RPG, with just some obvious imperfections that are for the most part easy to ignore. There is a great deal of gameplay to be had, although the pace is slightly slow and there probably isn't a great deal of reward in replaying the game. The PC version clearly trumps the XBox version, with better graphics, better control, new additions and various bug fixes.

And the third can be found at GameOver with a 93%:
But, as a whole, KOTOR is an excellent role-playing game. I wasn't really a fan of either of the first two Neverwinter Nights games, which made me a little pessimistic about the post-Infinity Engine quality of BioWare, but KOTOR puts them right back at the top of the heap. That's a good thing, especially since some of their competitors have had a rough time of late, and who knows who else might be producing good role-playing games in the future. So if you haven't played KOTOR yet, and if you like role-playing games at all, go out and get it.
