Q: Why do some resources shift after three days, when a similar resource was on the server for eight days, and some shift after 24 hours. Is this done intentionally, if so what is the reasoning for such sporadic shifts?
A: The resource system had several fixes and adjustments made to it early on to alleviate problems. For instance, the original system would shift base on quantity. It was discovered that some resources would shift nearly instantaneously due to the quick rate at which players could harvest resources. To alleviate this problem, the resource system was changed to shift resources based on time rather than quantity. Resources should not be shifting sooner than 5 days. Please feel free to send in a bug report so we can evaluate what possible issues may still exist if you are finding resources that are shifting sooner than 5 days.
