Eric Dallaire Interview @ Duck And Cover #2

Duck And Cover has posted their second interview with Reflexive's Eric Dallaire (the first interview can be found here). In it, Eric answers quite a few in-depth questions about Lionheart, including what perks will be available in the game, how potions will work, and more. A snippet:

Q: What is the resistance system like in Lionheart? What affects those resistances? How many resistances are there? How are they handled in combat?

A: There are nine current resistances that include physical and magical attacks: crushing, slashing, piercing, cold, fire, electrical, acid, disease, and poison. The disease and poison resistances stats are initially determined by your endurance. The physical resistances start at zero, but are modified by different armor types. All resistances can be raised by magical means, by casting spells or wearing certain magic items, or choosing the appropriate perks or traits.

In combat, resistances represent a percentage that reduces the total amount of damage you'll take from a specific attack type. If you have a 10 poison resistance, it would absorb 10% of every poison attack.
