The Witcher 4 is definitely happening, my uncle who works for Nintendo told me so. This is the gist of what we've been hearing through the grapevine over the last few days. This short quote from CD Projekt Red's CEO, Adam Kiciński, has been floating around:
“It’s too early to talk about it, but it’s not like we’re forgetting about this brand, It wouldn’t be fair towards the fans. We work within this universe for over a dozen years now and I don’t think it’s going to be the end of it.
Now, we've managed to trace a credible source on that. The folks at Frag Hero found the recording of the original interview with the Polish TVN 24 BiS station. Granted, my Polish isn't what you'd call fluent but from what I can gather, the quote holds water. The interview also mentions, however, that CDPR's current efforts are focused on Cyberpunk 2077 and that game is looking like it will be even more ambitious than originally intended, so this talk of the next Witcher is just the studio's general intention, not some definitive statement. Still, it's nice to know beforehand.
