Fallout Collection (GSP White Label DVD)

Post by Steve Da Pirate »

Okay, around September I bought the Fallout Collection from GSP off Amazon. I installed all three games onto my computer, and it worked perfectly.

Around April of this year, I wiped my laptop (Unistalled EVERYTHING then reinstalled the necessary Things for running it.) After I was done with this, I tried to install the Fallout collection, but whenever I try to, one of three things happens when I put the disc into the Drive:

1. Error! D:\Launcher_exe. is not a valid Win32/ application.
2. The computer doesn't recognize the disc (It IS a DVD drive)
3. The computer locks up.

I have tried manual installation, opening up the disc and installing the games without the DVD launcher, and contacted technical support three times, all of which they ignored (the first help request was in April). PLEASE help me. I am desperate to play this game again and am at the end of my rope! PLEASE ASSIST! :(

Number two and three could indicate that either your DVD is bad or your DVD drive is bad. Is the disc scratched or dirty? At all? Also, is there any problems with any other DVD than Fallout?

Also, posting a bit info about your system could help us to narrow the problem a bit better (OS, processor, RAM and so on).

Computer Stats

I have a 2.4gig processor, 32 bit operating system, 500megs of RAM, it is a Windows XP(Probably home Edition), and a 128meg graphics card. The disc has a few VERY minor scratches, but they are nothing that wasn't inflicted while I was originally playing the game. The disc has been unused for some time after I beat the game a few times. The only noticeable thing about the disc is that near the center there is a liquidic (Splotchy) pattern ringing around the disc's hole on the back.
Also, the DVD drive is fine as most of the games I play are a DVD format.

Thank you for the help.

It is possible that the liquidic pattern in the disc is causing problems. Is there any possibility for you to test the DVD on other computers (own, friends...)?

Well I may have the chance to test it on my father's computer tomorrow. I'll give it a try. Thanks
