Miscellaneous Questions

Post by Lianora »

Hello, I've got a couple questions about several different aspects of the game.

1) What triggers the Visas Marr cutscene that leads to her attacking you? I heard that it was when your character had gotten to a certain spot in the light/dark spectrum. I'm playing neutral. Obviously she has to show up for plot reasons, but when? (Currently I'm halfway through Dantooine, my first planet).

2) In my game, I set Revan as a light-sided male. I was trying to get T3 to play the holo of Bastila, but I didn't have high enough Awareness to get the option to show up. Now the option that leads to that dialogue occurring is gone. Does that mean I've messed up my chances of seeing it, and is it fixable? I would rather like to see that scene.

3) For some reason, whenever I go onto Khoonda on Dantooine my game gets incredibly slow and starts freezing up, and I have to save, quit, and reload. I've fixed this by turning my graphics options to the lowest I could get them. But everywhere else in the game, it's fine to play with the highest settings. Why is this?

Thanks!

1. The 'trigger' is I believe at about 25% towards light or dark. So in theory you could never trigger her appearance, not sure if that's strictly true or not. However I can't think off hand why it should be actually essential for her to show up at all, it would certainly make the game different, but completing the game without her should be possible from what I can remember. Just never done it myself.

2.I'm not sure about awareness having anything to do with it. Intelligence, computer and repair skills are important when dealing with T3M4, but most important in this respect is influence. If you've done something to upset the droid (daft concept robots having emotions I know) you may have lost enough influence to lose the option, If that's the case doing nice things when he's around may win back that influence (yes, even dafter, robots with consciences! But we are talking LUCAS here! ).

3. This is a common bug, you'll find several references to it in the forum. I don't know how Obsidian managed to screw that planet up in that respect, I did wonder if it may have something to do with using badly edited KOTOR 1 maps.

Thanks for answering my questions!

Coincidentally, the next time I got on the game I got the Visas cutscene. So I guess I bumped the meter up to 25% light side (which was the side I was leaning towards). I guess it is possible for it to be done without her, I just assumed it wasn't because of her connections with Darth Nihilus. But now that I think about it, I suppose it could happen.

For the second one, I read a walkthrough that said you needed to have an Awareness of 16 to get the option to work; if you didn't have it that high, the option would show up but he wouldn't play the holo. Walkthroughs can be wrong, of course. Also, I have never lost influence with T3.

And thanks for explaining what was happening on Dantooine. I'm off it now, thank goodness, but it's nice to know why it was bugged like that.
