What about the French makes you mad?

Post by fable »

Yes, we all know that croissants are bad for your cholesterol, and that Parisians are bad for anybody's temper. But really, what about the French makes you want to fling a pan of escargo at them, declare a new revolution, and set up a fresh guillotine in the Place de la Liberte?

well, i think the fact that they have a rollerblade police patrol pretty much says it all. only the French would need their enforcers to wear kneepads.
and basically since they were so bitter over havign their a$$es handed to them in WWI, they wanted to punish the germans, and gave the Germans a sense of nationalism to rally behind to regain what they lost, thus causing WWII.
I would be a serial killer if i didn't have such a strong distaste for manual labor

the one thing i cant stand from the french is:
the only speak their own friggin languae
when they come to holland the will only speak french and the aspect that we will speak french to them to.
They don't even (or want to) speak English.

not all the french are like that but ,most of them are.

When passing an other car they always leave their blinkinglight(?) on.
Small thing, I know. But irritating anyway. ;)

ROFL DP & Fable :D

Ah, the French.

Cheese eating surrender monkeys sums it up. :D :D :D

Oh and the fact they *think* they should own Canada. Well, we can always deport them all to Louisiana again if they want to try their luck a second time. :D

I used to like France a lot, I've been there many times, but I actually decided not to go back after the nuclear tests in the South Pacific in 1995.

Serious things I dislike about France:
- Jacques Chirac
- the increasing nationalism and hostility towards people from their former colonies
- the imperialistic attitue (I dislike imperialism in any country)

Unserious things:
- it's impossible to get a decent cup of tea
- the Parisian driving style ;) You'd think the signal horn was the most important part of a car

Btw, snails and frog's legs are delicious, as is a lot of typically French food :)

That isn't the only thing Frenchmen are supposedly good at eating ;)

Cartoon Law III
Any body passing through solid matter will leave a perforation conforming to its perimeter. Also called the silhouette of passage, this phenomenon is the speciality of victims of directed-pressure explosions and of reckless cowards who are so eager to escape that they exit directly through the wall of a house, leaving a cookie-cutout-perfect hole. The threat of skunks or matrimony often catalyzes this reaction.

The silent "e" and other spelling inconsistencies that they managed to interject into the English language - the bane of my ability to spell in grade school!

@ki-master - did you post the same message in the "what do you hate about USA"..."Germany"...England"... topics?
everyoen here knows it is all basic dumb stereotypes, but all stereotypes have their root in some truth, even if it does not translate to modern times or to a whoel population.
