Alignment/XP penalty?

I'm playing the game for the second or third time and decided to play someone Neutral Evil. I've noticed, however, that I don't seem to get full experience. I'm about 5000 XP behind my companions. I'm doing a two-weapon fighter-type build -a Wood Elf Ranger2/Fighter7 right now. I'd say I'm getting 80% of normal XP. (Finding Ore in caves gets me 40XP, but I seem to remember getting 50XP with other characters.)

I'm not sure what the problem is or whether it even has something to do with alignment.

(I also noticed Elenee is 15 XP behind Neeshka and Khelgar for some reason.)

I don't see a multiclass penalty in your character, and I don't think alignment gives less exp (that would outright SUCK).

Wood elves have favoured class: Ranger, don't they?

Are wood elves one of the races with XP penalties? I wouldn't have thought so...

Another possibility to check: did you bump the difficulty setting at all?

Ugh. I'm an idiot. Completely forgot about the XP penalty for multiclassing. That'll teach me not to play a Stourheart Halfling, Human or Half-Elf. That's the problem.
