How come there is no message traffic on this board? After ToB was released, there were hundreds, if not thousands, of posts in the first week after its release. ROMD has been out for one week and there's more action at the Edenbrook Convalescence Home than there is here. Why?
My theories:
1) People are using Ubisoft's ROMD message boards.
2) The game crashed everyone's computers and they can't log on to the message boards.
3) The rumoured bugginess has scared off a bunch of potential buyers and so they're not playing.
4) The game sucks so bad that no one cares to swap ideas, hints, or solutions.
Any other theories?

Jesus saves! And takes half damage!
If brute force doesn't work, you're not using enough.

How about this theory:
ToB was the finale to one of the best (IMO) RPGs of all time, BGII. There are tons of BGII addicts here, so it is only natural that message board traffic for the last installment would be big.
PoR, on the other hand, is a new game, with new, unfamiliar rules (to those who haven't played P&P 3rd Edition, anyway) with A LOT of bad press, right out of the gate. So, traffic is much lower.
Personally, I think a lot of people were going to buy, but heard all the bad press online, so are waiting to see what people say about the game before shelling out their hard-earned $. Hopefully, once the patch comes out, people will pick the game up and posts will pick up, too.
I've been playing since the game came out, and, while I don't enjoy it nearly as much as the BG-IWD series, it is still a fun, hack 'n' slash game.
My two cents, anyway.

You will run afoul of both a common misconception and a family of bears.
