Strike out, no new games and not even a Game Stop gift card. Oh well, anyone else fair better?

I got an okay haul, new hand-me-down phone and printer, book, few chocolates I can't eat, and best of all a copy of NWN2 (yay!)...by far the most memorable event was being stung by a bloody scorpion.
Freakin' hurt too.

Ouch, it seems scorpy had a gift for you. It must have been a killer. :p

Managed to get my hands on a couple of Razer merchandise. Pretty decent haul, considering my family aren't Christians.

Just being with my family. :)

I got loads from students and co-workers. Interestingly, this is my first Christmas that I didn't get one single necktie.

Anyhoot, things of note were a Louis Vitton men's wallet, a Maulinex coffeemaker... a retractable metal attack stick and a brass knuckle. :D

My haul was decent as well: Couple of good books from well known Finnish writer, few movies (The Reaping, The Simpsons Movie, The Amityville Horror), and lots of chocolate. Of course, there was also some money from certain relatives, and some clothes of course.

No games this year, though I think that was good as my parents would surely buy a game that either doesn't work in my computer, I already have that I don't even want. This means that I can buy the games myself :D

The household did well....with the son-in-law and daughter gone for awhile...I got to play hours of Mass Effect, plus dabble in Call of Duty 4..(which was the gift I gave to the boy.....) When they got back, Bioshock was in their hands along with the latest Sim stuff for my daughter...

You know.. that's exactly the sort of thing I've always imagined Fable to have.. :D

Last year, things were pretty lousy for us, and this time around we've been enjoying making up for it just spending time together, eating some good food, drinking wines and such. I don't want to sound like a Hallmark Greeting Card
(: eek :) , but this has been the nicest part of all.

I didn't do badly for gifts though... A couple of months ago, Christmas sort of came early in the form of a brand new gaming computer along with "The Witcher" and "Lord of the Rings Online."

So, I didn't find any electronics under the tree, but rather a pair of wonderfully warm sheepskin slippers and a gift set of aromatherapy bathing-related items.
From my father we received a bottle of single malt Scotch and a travel book about Sicily.
And my partner's family sent us each some money to use as we see fit.

Oh, and our son, amongst his haul, ended up with a copy of the Lara Croft Anniversary Game, which is a remake of the 1996 publication, it looks pretty decent.

It's all good!

My wife raided my computer for my Amazon wishlist, that I've maintained over the last 2+ years. :D She ordered a group of CDs, DVDs, and books that I've set aside to watch for prices.

In turn, she got an amber pendant, a pair of earrings, some DVDs, three quilting books, and a mug upon which the US Bill of Rights vanishes when you pour in hot water. Very appropriate, considering.
You know.. that's exactly the sort of thing I've always imagined Fable to have. :D

''They say truth is the first casualty of war. But who defines what's true? Truth is just a matter of perspective. The duty of every soldier is to protect the innocent, and sometimes that means preserving the lie of good and evil, that war isn't just natural selection played out on a grand scale. The only truth I found is that the world we live in is a giant tinderbox. All it takes...is someone to light the match" - Captain Price
