Can a custom type fighter learn more spells

I created a custom redgard fighter and caste heal, how do i learn more spells. Sorry if this is a stupid question i'm borrowing the game and haven't played these before. I have searched the forums for similiar questions and haven't found anything, any help would be appreciated.

You can learn new spells by buying them from traders in any Mage Guild buildings in all cities. Also, there are a couple of shops that sell cheap spells in the market square of the capital.

Most are variations of each other, meaning some just have longer lasting effects and whatnot. SPOILER (HIGHLIGHT TO READ)

You can create custom spells from that which you already have if you join the Mage's Guild.
