System Requirements Lab says my computer should run Elder Scrolls 4 Fine...
Inside a building / Cave etc my fps is probably around 25-35...
Outside, its just pathetic about 10 - 15 on average.
Fps does not change at all when I changed Screen Size e.g 10240x768 or 800 x 600... etc
Any Ideas Why my performance is so poor.
Even the menu screen the mouse cursor is laggy so its even got a low fps there.
p.s : When using a program called 3D Analyser and forcing my computer to think my gfx card is a radeon 9800 Pro, the menu screen does not have a fps lag at all, but when I go in game, all I can see is the GUI bar and blue, no character or map just Blue....
Any Ideas, would be appreciated, thanks
regards,
Harry

Well, a few things. First off, your graphics card is low on memory. Having a 512 MB graphics card makes a huge difference sometimes.
Secondly, Vista is a graphics and memory hog, running oblivion on vista is seriously demanding on your PC. If you have it, I'd suggest getting rid of Vista altogether and going back to XP.

You probably have to download drivers again, as at times those are different depending on what OS you are using. But that shouldn't be a problem, as most manufacturers still support XP...
Oh, and I use System Requirements Lab myself at times. The only problem with it is that it doesn't take it account that you must have more pwerfull computer to get as good result with Vista than with XP. Also, for few games it told me that my computer didn't meet the recommended requirements, but actually the only thing I did have "worse" was that I was using XP instead of Vista...

the video card is ok as well as you computer. i play it on a geforce 7300gs with 256 mb and 1 gb of RAM. in medium settings i have no problem at all. maybe you put the video settings of the game at maximum. this indeed requires a good video card. i suggest leveling them down. if this doesn't work, maybe vista is a problem or the driver of the video card.
