Patch Problems (some spoilish info)

Post by dcinroc »

I have played KOTOR II several times without the patch and never had a serious problem. Most noticeable was Atton not being in the force cage when I weent to the Secret Academy on Telos, but that was not a serious problem, since he'd still wake up off the floor and I could continue the game normally.

However, I decided to go ahead and download the patch last week and have had nothing but trouble. Numerous crashes (usually when just running around), an even more severe bug when entering the Academy (no cut scene if the "wrong" dialogue is chosen), and now a game ending bug on Dxun.

I have TWO KREIAS. One is with my party, the other is standing in the shuttle hangar. I have been to Onderon and done my thing there, but after returning to Dxun to await Kavar's message...the message never comes. I can only assume that the extra Kreia is related to this problem, as something didn't set/reset after the Mandalore/Kreia cut scene before I went to Onderon.

I went to an earlier saved game and replayed...same result.

Is there a way to remove the patch, or should I uninstall/reinstall?

This has to be the WORST patch EVER!!!

Re-install the game without installing the patch. That's the only way.
''They say truth is the first casualty of war. But who defines what's true? Truth is just a matter of perspective. The duty of every soldier is to protect the innocent, and sometimes that means preserving the lie of good and evil, that war isn't just natural selection played out on a grand scale. The only truth I found is that the world we live in is a giant tinderbox. All it takes...is someone to light the match" - Captain Price
