I got the "Best Of..."-collection, never had any problems with kotor. So a fue weeks after I've reinstalled my computer, I try to install kotor. The installation works as usually, but when I start the game, an error message comes up and then I come back to Windows. I've tryed several times without success, anyone got a solution?

OBS: Please don't pester me with snide comments like "ever tryed to search?", thanks!

First of all, hello and welcome to the forums, Darth K.Rool. :) As for your question, what did the error message say? If you can recall what was mentioned in the message, it should be easier to narrow down the problem.
''They say truth is the first casualty of war. But who defines what's true? Truth is just a matter of perspective. The duty of every soldier is to protect the innocent, and sometimes that means preserving the lie of good and evil, that war isn't just natural selection played out on a grand scale. The only truth I found is that the world we live in is a giant tinderbox. All it takes...is someone to light the match" - Captain Price

It's a bit hard to translate to english, but it's the common error message:

"Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic have come across an error and need to be shut down"

Then you get the option to "Send repport" or "Do not send repport".

Also, when the error message pops up, the screen is still black loading the game (I thought I was indistinct in the post before).

Have you tried re-installing the game? I suspect the certain data in the game itself is corrupt or something during the installation. It should be able to work after doing so.

I've reinstalled the game about ten times in three days now, still won't work. Maybe it's the CD itself? I'll try to clean it.

It didn't work either, however, the first time I tryed to start the game after I cleaned the CD, the game crashed because of the program "Xfire". Althought I were'nt loged on, but I had an "Xfire"-icon at the "activity-field". So I took it away from the field and tryed to start the game, this time it crashed as usual (I hope I didn't confuse you).
