New player here - would someone kindly tell me what a geomynn does? seems to be quite valuable, but I haven't been able to figure out how to use it.

It's been a while since I played, but that object doesn't sound familiar. Where did you find it? And are you playing an English-language version?

Sir Edmund: "Should you obey the lord who asks you to put a village of innocents to the torch? Is that chivalrous? Is it noble?"
Me: "It's a great way to get promoted, I know that much."

English version CE yes. I wish I could remember where I got it- may have been Fargrove, or on the way to Arindale. Appears to be a rune with a purple center. At the arms shop in Arindale, I noticed it was was worth 22K gold when I sold it, but only 15k to re-buy.
I did check the equipment database and kathycf's text file but couldn't find any mention of it.
Thanks for the reply anyway.

Its one of several runes needed for various rune spells found here:
http://www.gamebanshee.com/dungeonlords/runemagic.php
Basically (once you have a rune spell) you place your cursor over the rune spell and it tells you how many and what type of runes you will need in order to cast that spell once.
Grymlock in the Northlands has most of the runes and spells that can be found in-game.
As to selling and then buying back at a lower cost.. thats because your honor attribute and/or your Bargain skill is high enough that you always make money (..and of course you make more money per transaction with more costly items like that rune).
