Hello All,
I'm brand new to NWN2 but I'm about to buy the game and the Xpac (so sick of WOW)
I've played the entire Baldur's gate series and NWN but really hated NWN, game was crap compared to Baldur's Gate IMO.
Anyway... trying to select a class for NWN2, In Baldur's gate 2 I played the Stalker Class (Ranger with rogue sneak attack ability) Which I really enjoyed.
I'm looking for a mesimilar type class for NWNlee 2, is a Ranger/Rogue Combo the way to go? Duelist and Weapon Master both sound interesting as well... can someone with some experience point me in the right direction? This is just advise for a character in the OC and expansion, don't worry about PVP.
Thanks Guys,

Ranger/Rogue Combo, if you're gonna be evil, I'd recommend going Ranger/Rogue/Assassin, and if you're going to go with a neutral to good character, Ranger/Rogue/Shadowdancer would work quite well.
Duelist is an ok class, but kind of lame considering what you need to put into your character just to play one effectively. Weapon Master is good but ungodly broken for the game (so if you want to run through the game like it's butter and you're the knife, that's the class for you. Otherwise it's way too powerful.)
Assassin, well this is an obvious class. Good at instant kills, stalker stealthy type of character, evil. Oh, and continued progression of sneak attack.
Shadowdancer is also a nifty class, especially with the "hide in plain sight" ability which means, right in the middle of combat, you can just click the hide button and sneak attack the hell out of everything. Not to mention the extra help from the shadows you can summon, which means instant flank for you from an incorporeal and virtually untouchable ally.
Oh, and invisible blade is pretty cool as well. Standard abilities, and the name of the class is also a decent description.

Right Speech has four aspects: 1. Not lying, but speaking the truth, 2. Avoiding rude and coarse words, but using gentle speech beneficial to the listener, 3. Not slandering, but promoting friendliness and unity, 4. Avoiding frivolous speech, but saying only what is appropriate and beneficial.
It's broken because it's too powerful.
At higher levels, it's more than 4 hits per round, each round doing at least one critical hit.
Being nerfed, (Keen no longer stacks with improved critical), WM is still the most powerful melee char in the game, making bugbears, ogres and even big ugly orcs look like fools.
But surround WMs with mages, they fall fast too. But then again, mages are afraid of WMs too. One round is enough for a WM to kill.
In fights, very few can stand up to WMs. Only the undead gives WMs problems. But that is assuming that you can get the correct weapon (and a powerful one too) for the WM.
But I think WMs have few skills to truely make the adventure enjoyable. No DIPLOMACY, and little of other things.
I suggest against taking 6 levels of fighters. Try to follow the rule of 4, take 4 levels or 8 levels or 12 levels of fighter.

In the end, everything will be alright. If it is not alright, it is not the end.
