CE on Companions

Post by joe05 »

What CE work on Companions :)

I've read where some actually work in reverse ... some won't work etc

I'm using the Companion Project mod.
The .doc mentions nothing on CE on this companion(... unless I missed it)
I asked at Emma's site, and I only know CE Sanctuary won't work ?

Anyone ever use this mod ?
Are there some CE that work on companions ... anything is better than nothing

If you can't CE a companion, then how do you "juice them"; so to speak ?

Thanks.

I never put CE gear on companions, just because it is so unpredictable. However, I will make spells and enchant items that cast various effects on "other."
It works fairly well.

DW - thanks.
I can go buy more spells now, as I don't have a clue as to what best works on "other".
Will have to find some that weaken them ... since I can't help my companion
Just as I feel I'm beginning to get the gist of this game, a new "decision" pops up :)

BTW, your select 3-4 skills strategy to get three 5x attributes is working like a charm.

As soon as I can CE myself with the tips given before, my build should be complete.
See how it turns out.

Making the "bow" is also paying big dividends.

I've noticed a companion can real help, but can also limit/change ones tactics.

Thanks to everyone for the input !

Joe,
because my RL is just nuts right now and I don't have MW currently installed, I can't remember which spells exactly you should have made, but I think they are probably of the Restoration school, things like "Fortify Health" etc.

Regarding the need to use different strategies with companions, that is definitely true. What I have generally found, for example, is that it works best for my PC to use a bow and my companion to use melee, or the reverse depending on the companion's build in contrast to my own.
That way, you dramatically decrease the chances of accidentally injuring your companion, which is what happens if you are both hacking away melee-style at the same target.
