I've been thinking about what I can do with those ten extra levels we get in the expansion. I had a look a the prestige classes and I wasn't that impressed.
I haven't mixed up the ruleset in a while, so I'd like to know if I'm still on all fours with my idea. It's based on the Warlock/Monk build I made when I first started playing the game. I don't know if anyone remembers, I posted it here with some screenshots. Basically you only invest in willpower as a warlock. You have a tough game until you reach level 16, pick the Horned Demon transformation invocation and add a monk level for crazy AC.
Roadmap:
Monk (Lawful Evil), 3 levels. Invest heavily in wisdom and charisma.
Warlock, 16 levels. Get at least 8 Lore and the Horned Demon invocation.
Sorceror/Bard, 1 level. (Edit: Sorceror, Bards can't go lawful.)
Red Dragon Disciple, 10 levels.
You get to be an outlander-dragon, a fire breathing Horned Demon that gets all the extra RDD Draconic ability scores. With the RDD's Natural Armor AC increases you get the same additional 4+ AC bonuses as you would have after 20 Monk levels, only in just 10 levels. And there is of course the Wisdom based AC. I don't exactly remember what kind of ability scores you get as a Horned demon, but I figure the RDD bonuses are well spend on any high level creature. XP penalty will be immense though.
So, what do you think?
