Where are you in the game?

Post by phxhawk »

So far, I've played the PC version of TW for three hours. I'm running a level 11 tank who has enough willpower to cast good healing during battles. At first I used a sword, but at the early levels I found a rather wicked thorn staff, imbued it with fire damage using alchemy and pretty soon I could survive skellies, wolves, black bears and young groms.

I've put most of my points into strength; adding the odd point to vitality and willpower. I've added skill points to enhance fighting ability, as well as lockpicking. Ya never know when that will come in handy :)

Horses are challenging, but useful if you have to get away FAST. I liberated one horse from a Grom fort.

So far, I'm enjoying the open end quality of the game. At this point I'm exploring, picking up side quests as I find them (no end to these!). Just having fun playing.

Thank you for including Two Worlds in the RPG forum!

I have finished it with a level 64 tank. Got stuck with a level 24 long sword about 5000 slashing damage + 6000 spirit damage. I was trying to collect No.565 Plate Armor without success, I could only find a helmet and body armor. :( I can suggest level1 Earth magic or level2 Necromacy, if you're facing too strong foes. Earth magic lvl1 - Chains or Necromacy lvl2 - Skeleton Hands are pretty good holding down a powerful enemy. :)

Oh, yeah, install all the patches. As far as I remember Two Worlds 1.5SR patch consist all of them.

Horses are pretty good, but they don't like narrow places. I had a skeleton horse at the end of the game, its pretty strong and fast. If you trying to get some XP, try cleaning out orc camps. They're nasty, there are loads of them and they give loads of XP. Don't try to fight them without proper equipment.

Side quest.....I hate some of them, seriously. They're fun but when a guy ask me to get something from a guy that ask to get something from a woman that ask me.....etc, etc, etc. You get it. :p
The quest log is too simple when I get a loads of side quest instead of one.

Overall.....I love the game, its beautiful, its fun to play with. :)
Most of the bugs is fixed by the patches, but there are still some points I don't like.....for one, the quest log. I hope they make it better in another patch. Oh, yeah, and I hate that slang they're speaking in the game. :D

I started playing it again. :p
 Don't mess with the orc.

Oh, and another tip.....try to study enemies.....its pretty easy (tho takes long) to kill a bear with a lvl1 character if you use "Q" (backjump) at the right moment. :) This way, you can easily kill powerful foes, tho it might take a lot of time to kill them.

It doesn't really work if you're fighting against loads of enemies, but its great against a single one at a time.

Lets stay on topic guys, if you want tips, feel free to start a thread on giving and/or requesting tips for gameplay, but this is about where you guys are in the game.

Thanks.

Started playing it again, I'm on the road to Cathalon.

Finished Main Story Quests:

- Into the Darkness
- Sword for hire, soul for hire
- A Dim Light
- A Grim Message
- No Room for Negotiations
- A Crack in the Glass
- The Twins
- An Ace in the Sleeve
- High Stakes

Well, this ain't much, its fairly the introduction part with lots of talk and no action. I'm trying to finish as much side quest as I can, this time. :)

Finished Side Quests:

- A Troubled Horse Breeder
- Extortion
- An Old Friend
- By All Means
- Personal Teleport
- Another Personal Teleport
- Moon Eye
- Edwin from Brumhill
- Brumhill Village

I picked up all possible quests at Tharbakrin, this time I'm trying to be a Giriza, Karga Clan, Brotherhood member. Well, we'll see if it works. I completed the Brotherhood quest to 100% before, but not the other two. First time I was with the Skelden House, but I don't like the bribing/killing going there, Karga Clan looks much nicer cuz of that. Maybe I'm going to join the Society and the Merchant Association as well, but the Necromancers are out of the question this time.....too many collecting missions and killing an entire town. Again, its not my style.....too bad I didn't know I have to do that, when I first played the game.
I think I'm on lvl12, I pretty much kill everything that moves on the map. :p

I'm level 21 now. Haven't committed myself to either Karga or Skelden yet. Was going to check out Karga then decide.

So far, I'm just exploring/killing. Finished most of the side quests at Tharbakin and the first 3 of the Main Quest.

Glad to know about the Necros tho. Killing towns isn't my style either. :(

I have one 16 fire mage that i got in 4 hours of playing the game, and one 35 in nine hours. I'm a lot better with tank/ Hand to hand combat then I am spell casters, yet i have more fun with spell casters. The 35 I'm at the end and the 16 I'm about half way through.
