Changing my background feat

Post by Viper3220 »

So I have a small.... "problem" with my character. I accidentally selected the wrong background feat when I made him. Nothing major, I'm playing a Paladin and I selected wild child instead of Natural Leader like I wanted to. Well I added Natural Leader and now I have two background feats. Everytime I remove wild child, it comes back when i reload the game. Is there a file I can edit or something I can "hack" to change my displayed background feat from Wild Child to Natural Leader? I don't even know if it makes any roleplaying difference, I hope not.

You can use the debug mode to remove the wild child feat.

Bring up the console, then type DebugMode 1
Then type removefeat (wild child feat id number) without the brackets and it should remove that feat from your character screen and all its effects.

That's the problem. I remove it with the console command, and I have Natural Leader as my only background feat. But for some reason it's "hard coded" into my save file. Everytime i load my game Wild Child comes back. Also on the info when you highlight a saved game, it has wild child and the god I chose. So what I'm saying is, no matter how many times I remove it with a console command, it comes back. I want to be able to get rid of it and also change it so that Natural Leader shows up where Wild Child does.
