Key to the High Fane & Umbacanno's Quest *SPOILER*
OK, so I have tried this quest both ways by giving him the two different helms, and have watched him become instant toast or the undead king for about 30 seconds. In either case, after I have killed all the undead in there (and umbacanno if he is not finely toasted alreday) I am stuck with the Key to the High Fane in my inventory and I can't take it out because its a quest item. Is there something more to do (an old dungeon to revisit, perhaps the one where I got the high fane carving thing for him? Any help would be appreciated, I already did a search and read all the othe umbacanno's stuff out there I could find.
Have you ever considered that the sole reason for your existance is to merely serve as a warning to others?
Nope its one of those quest items that won't receive non quest item status. I have it in my inventory but did that quest like you. Also items that get stuck are random like these papers in the TG and crappy like this one ring from this lady.
