Return to Morrowind

Okay, so I ran across a copy of Morrowind for the X-box, and I have been playing. It's a lot of fun, but I'm having a small issue. I need to increase my stats/skills to continue in the Mages guild. What is the best/fastest/cheapest way to do so?

Alternatively, Is there a more reliable way to make money than rifling through the bookstore for valuables?

I suggest checking the walkthrough here at GB or do a forum search...
quick ways to raise stats has been covered the forums..
looting tombs and shrines and then selling the booty works for quick cash

Go earn some cash, raid tombs and caves, sell the booty, and find the right trainers for the stats you need to raise, that would be the quickest way i suppose.

How do I deal with ghosts? My weapons don't work.

If I remember correctly, use a silver weapon on ghosts....or maybe it was a magic one...

silver, daedric, and enchanted weapons all work on ghost type creatures.

and the quickest way to raise ur stats i guess is to either run around looting dungeons or do quests that involve using ur skills...
