Morrowind problems (SPOILERS)
I'm pretty new to Morrowind, I bought a preowned Xbox copy thinking "Eh, it'll waste a few hours". I was actually rather surprised at the freedom this game gives you and although some of the races walk like they have iron legs, it's the best game I've seen in a while. Anyways, I have a problem. Now to begin with, I found a devastating character build which quickly got me rich and well equipped, so I decided to branch out and decided to complete the Fighters Guild quests. I'm now Guild Master and I wasted quite a few days on those quests. Now here's the problem. Firstly, when I tried to do the Fighters Guild quest when you find Nels Terano I think in the Shallit cave, I could'nt find him. The cave was completely empty and I worked my way through to the bedroll, camp thingy. So, me thinking he went further into the tomb, went in there, killed all the monsters and he still wasn't there! I found a skeleton so I thought he was dead and took the items on the skeleton and went back to report. I found out that nothing happened except I had few more gold floating around. Does anyone find that unnatural that this happened? Ok, so I made it to Guild Master and decided to take on Caius's quests. When I went to the Dwemer ruins for the puzzlebox, I searched the whole place, killing everyone inside and I couldn't find the box. So I went to a walkthrough for a lil hint. It said the box was on the left set of shelves, on the bottom. I looked and what the hell! It wasn't there! Just a bunch of cogs. I found a Dwemer pipe but that only looks like it's useful for whacking people with. I searched high and low (Literally, I got stuck in the ceiling at one point) and still not there. Any ideas? I don't know if the game is broken or something. Here's the details: I own a preowned copy of a game of the year edition of Morrowind, I'm at the beginning of the quests for Tribunal and I'm at day 115. Please help! (I don't mind spoilers, I just want to solve this before I throw my Xbox out of the window.)

Spoiler
Shallit: In the first large cavern you reach after entering from the Sheogorad region (as opposed to the tomb) look up. There's another tunnel high up in that cavern that can only be accessed via levitation, that's were you'll find Rels Tenim.
Arkngthand: The puzzle box is in the Cells of Hollow Hand. Note however that there are two area that have that name, one has a large steam engine with a spinning wheel, the other doesn't, it's the one that doesn't that you want. It can be accessed from the Hall of Centrifuge by climbing up a rock ramp. In the immediate vicinity is a Dwemer Cabinet that had (or has) a Dwarven spear leaning against it.

Gazray, for future reference, put a SPOILER tag on a thread like this, just as it says in the sticky thread at the top of the forum. I'll change the title to this one for you.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

You might want to consider doing a rewrite of that quest for the GB walkthrough, assuming you have the time, and submit it to BuckGB, the site owner.
