Luck Attribute dropping rapidly
Luck Attribute dropping rapidly
I've been playing Oblivion for several months now and this is the 1st time I've had this problem. My Luck attribute should be at 60 but I looked at it recently and it said it was 10 and it was in the red font that means something is affecting it. But according to the tab in the Magic section I have no diseases and so I went to a chapel to try and heal whatever I may had it said to repent my crimes. Only problem is that I have no bounty so I don't know how to repent crimes that I don't have. After I did that I looked back at my Luck attribute and it had dropped to 1! Does anybody have any idea what to do?
Haha happened to me once. I was walking in skingrad and the guard said hello good citizen to me and I didn't talk to him. Dropped stuff off at the house noticed somethin was in the red and went to the chapel. Same thing "repent sins." Didn't see a crime and I'm like the guard even gave me good tidings. But as soon as I talked to a guard he wanted to arrest me. I paid the cash and went to the chapel.

Nope the gray fox and "you" are two different people. You kill someone with the cowl on take it off and nothing applys to you. Second can you make spells? If so see if you can make a restore attribute or cure spell. It might work. Sorry to here that it didn't work tho. I'm bummed out too. Just found out SI is only online and the only internet I have is on my phone....

I have to wonder if you're wearing or carrying something that is cursed. Try divesting your character of everything they're carrying and wearing (including weapons), and see if your luck continues to drop.

Morning everybody.
Never seen anything cursed but yea check your items to see. If not, also got a good idea, like a pair of jumper cables for the guards, pickpocket any guard in his sight and pay off fines(5 bucks).

Not native to Oblivion the way they were to Morrowind, no. But if he's running a mod, it may have added cursed items. Or he could even have created a cursed item accidentally. The process for cursed item creation is described here.

That's a misconception. If you look at the list of thousands of Oblivion mods on PlanetElderScrolls, you'll see that the majority actually make the game more difficult, increasing attack groups, decreasing the likelihood of finding good gear on a specific enemy type, remove the compass, etc. Quite a few make neutral changes. Several, for example, increase the effect of magic dramatically for all occupants--so you can kill with one or two shots of ranged magic, but can be killed that way, too. Others add furniture stores, new houses with their own quests, etc. In short, you use mods to tailor your game the way you want to play, not automatically to make it easier.Arok2092 wrote:No I don't run any mods. Still wouldn't hurt to drop everything, then get your luck raised back up, and wait around to see if it begins dropping, again. At least that way, if luck remains as it should, you'll know there's some kind of effect on something you've got that's somehow dropping the stat when worn/kept around....however I suppose I may have created a cursed item but I'm pretty sure I didn't since I check over all those things before I approve the item I'm going to enchant.
