new players/ new questions

Post by gamepam »

I'm interested in corresponding with new players to both these games. I'm new to RPGs (more of a point-and-click adventure gamer, I was opposed to killing anything! ) but these two are interesting, at least on the easy levels. I know these games are old, but it would be fun to talk to people who are now/still playing them to find out things I can't find in old posts. Anyway, if anyone's still interested in talking about this game, I'd love to chat with you.

Old? They're only 3 or 4 years old. I can still remember reviewing Ultima II for a magazine when it first came out.

If you have questions about the games, but them up here, each in its own thread. Note, though, that there are very few players on this board familiar with either title. (I've played both, but it's been a while.) If you can't get what you need, you might have better luck at the developer's website, which has its own forum.

Still, welcome. :)

I first played Divine Divinity 3+ years ago and I just finished playing through again 1 week ago. I much prefer it over Diablo II. Any questions I'll answer to the best of my ability.

I may be able to come up with responses and replies too, but my memory is not as fresh as Ferrick's.

P.S. - Ferrick, I do sincerely hope my comments were useful and beneficial.

thanks guys!

I appreciate the encouragement, and I'm glad to see you don't think 3 or 4 years is old! I have just started playing computer games in the last year or so (I'm 40-something, but still very young at heart!). I live and work in a cemetery, and as you can guess, it's pretty dead around here (hyuck hyuck!) I've exhausted all the myst-type games I could find, loved Syberia and the Longest Journey (can't get Dreamfall to play on my machine, though, guess I'll have to upgrade the video card, argh).

I am totally into Divine Divinity, though. Killing orcs and ghouls is fun, now that I know how! I have answered most of my own questions, always better to hack around and find your own way - nice to see someone else playing the game, though.

Thanks again -- I'll be back!

Post deleted because it had nothing to do with the subject--simply an introduction by a player.

That said, thread's closed. If anybody has any questions about the game, you need the procedure: check to see if it's been answered before, using search, and if not, start a new thread. :D We'll all be glad to help out.

Thread closed.
