Fighter's Reinstatement and Azani Blackheart (SPOILERS)

Ok. I did the Azani Blackheart quest but foolishly went in without Modreyn. I finished it, got Azani's ring, head outside of Atatar and Modreyn says I stole from the fighter's guild and talk to Vilenna. In my quest guide it says I killed Azani and to speak with Modreyn in Chorrol.

I speak to Vilenna and I buy the 20 bear pelts, and have been reinstated in the guild.

My quest info still tells me to speak with Modreyn. I do so and he says "It's good Azani is dead." Ok, but it doesn't say I've completed the quest, NOR does it give me an Advancement or Contracts options with Modreyn. So, now I'm stuck as a Defender of the fighter's guild and cannot get contracts from ANYONE. I've spoken with Azzan and the Chendenhal guy, and niether gives me the option to get contracts or advance. What am I supposed to do???

I've theorized getting expelled again and doing the minotaur horn reinstatement, but I dunno. A

For me the quest went perfectly, apart from the extremely boring trip i had to have with Oryn. It seems you are stuck. if you are on PC activate the quest, bring up the console and write completequest. i see no reason in tormenting yourself with being expelled again.

I'm on a 360, anyway to cheat around that?
