My illusionist wizard is not supposed to be able to memorize or cast enchantment spells. And I can't, except for Mind Fog.
1. Is this just a bug that one enchantment spell got left off the blocked list for Illusionists?
2. Is this a typo and Mind Fog is really of a differet school? Which one? (Illusion or Conjuration perhaps)
3. Is this on purpose? Did Obsidian determine that Illusionists should not be without Mind Fog despite documented restrictions?
4. Is there some obscure dnd rule that overrides this restriction? Perhaps all Svirfneblin (my character's race) wizards get mind fog regardless?

My guess would be #1.
Mind Fog was in the enchantment school in NWN1, so it doesn't seem like a typo (#2). It is possible it was an error that was just perpetuated from the earlier game, but enchantment seems like the correct school.
#3 seems unlikely. Most illusions are not mind-affecting, so I don't see why illusionists would have a special need to reduce resistance. (Exceptions Color Spray, Phantasmal Killer and Weird.)
I see no evidence for #4. Svirfneblin have an affinity with illusion spells, so I can't see why they would get a special deal on Mind Fog.
