Get Two-Weapon fighting. Use rapier and dagger.

Bump up DEX.

i would like to, but i think the duelist class only works with single weapon
and as for dex, of course these were just numbers floating in my head i dont even think i used all of the points given to me at character creation.

Really? That's a shame. Two-Weapon fighting is my favourite with any class that uses Weapon Finesse. :( I haven't really looked at Duelist Prestige class.

im gonna take a look at it, because obviously if i can i want to duel wield for more attacks per round, leading to more dmg. and nothing on the duelist section of this site says that dual wielding will negate my bonuses, hoping it stays true for the game

finally found out

Precise Strike
Feat ID: 1740
Type of Feat: Class
Use: Automatic
Prerequisite: Duelist Level 5

At 5th level, the duelist gains the ability to strike precisely with a light or one-handed piercing weapon, gaining 1d6 piercing damage. This only works against enemies vulnerable to critical hits. Precise Strike is automatically in effect when the duelist has NO OFF-HAND WEAPON or shield. At 10th level, the damage increases to 2d6.

I took a peak at some epic feats on PnP DnD online resources (in anticipation of epic level in the expansion).

Anyway, I didn't read too much, but I distincly remember epic duelists having all kinds of two weapon snazzyness as part of their epic bonus feat list. Now I'm not an expert on epic bonus feat lists, but it seems you only get feats that harmonious with your class (Rages for barbs, Archery for rangers, etc...)

That got me thinking that duelists could or should dual weild with precise strike. After all, the textual documentation of duelist feats is kinda vague and could be just plain wrong anyway.

So, has anybody play tested this and can either put a decisive nail in the coffin or resurect dual weilding precise striking duslists?

If precise strike doesn't work with dual "one-handed" peircing weapons (rapiers) maybe you can dual "light" peircing weapons (daggers)?

honestly if you can only do it with daggers, im gonna pass on the duelist,I mean if you think of a duelist (maybe its just my mind) but i see rapiers, and if they are only going to allow you to use one they should rename the class "Fencer" because fencers use one rapier, a dualist should be able to use to. grrr :mad:
think i should bust out my gta: san andreas and work off some anger before exploding at bioware, and the many other game makers.

but if in theory they should be able to dual wield i mean then you can see the useful ness of the two weapon defense feats, to boost you duelist ac even higher. or perhaps they will gain the ability to use dual weapons with precise strike, as an automatic epic feat at level 11 or something :S
