I've been considering playing through Morrowind as a cleric but if I do this then I want it to be as close to a Forgotton Realms style cleric as I can possibly get. I have a few ideas such as Restoration and Conjuration as major skills, along with Blunt Weapons. I'm struggling to decide which other major skills to use though, as well as which minor skills to take. I've also decided that I will need to buy spells then use them to create spells similar to the ones in the BG series etc. Anyone have any idea the best way to create these spells (I'm looking for the effect, the amount of damage it does and so on, not just the type of spell).
Any advice would be appreciated but I would like people to remember that I'm not looking for the strongest possible build or the strongest possible spells, I'm looking for the build and spells that would most closely resemble that of a cleric in games like BG2 and Icewind Dale, both in their effect and how powerful, or not so powerful, they are. I will be roleplaying this character as a neutral good cleric who will be joining nothing but the Blades and the Imperial Cult and since I have a mod installed that only allows you to access guild services of those guilds you have joined, many of the mage spells etc. will not be available to me. I will only be able to buy the spells from the Blades and the Cult (but once I have the spell effect I can then use it to create the spells that I will use and will only use those spells that I have created - in fact I will delete the bought spells once I have used them to create another spell).
Thanks in advance.
A Baldurs Gate style Cleric build?
Are you going to try and make a BG2 kit? I mean like Cleric of Lathander or something like that?
I'd also include an armor skill and perhaps Block (do you have MW and Combat Enhanced installed?).
BG Clerics do not get a lot of offensive spells so I'd go for a number of Fortify Skill XXX spells (like the THAC0 and strength enhancing spells in BG).

It's difficult, the game setup isn't exactly geared for it, but first thoughts:
Block - You can use a shield, so why not be proficient
Blunt Weapon
Heavy Armour - see Block
Restoration
Marksman - OK, there aren't any slings, but a missile weapon should be allowed
Illusion - for light spells and Sanctuary
Mysticism - No 'World of Recall' in BG, but it's a D&D spell
Armourer - No reason why a Cleric shouldn't be able to maintain his/her armour
Alchemy
Speechcraft - No particular reason, other than I was running out of options
If you're playing an evil cleric then you could substitute Conjuration (summon undead) instead of one of the above.
The fact is though, it all comes down to how you play it, all the skills are available obviously, so role-play is the real deciding factor.
PS Had a quick look through the cleric spells is BG", frankly a lot of them are going to be near impossible to emulate in Morrowind. Bless could be emulated somewhat by fortifying your weapon skill by one point, cure light wounds is easy enough, Armour of Faith - Sanctuary 5%, but the rest of the 1st level spells seem either redundant (eg detect evil) or non emulatable. Charm person or mammal - command creature/humanoid (so conjuration is valid). There are obvious ones of course, draw upon holy might for instance, but it aint gonna be easy.

[QUOTE=Darth Gavinius;1096098]Distrbution of games, is becoming a little like Democracy (all about money and control) - in the end choice is an illusion and you have to choose your lesser evil.
