Will i get kicked out of the mages guild if...

Will i get kicked out of the mages guild if i do the thieves quest Arrow of Extrication(sp), but i am Arch-Mage?
The reason i ask, is because i made it upon myself to finish the mages guild quests first, THEN do the thieves guild quests. Just asking.

Yes you will get kicked out

While i havnt yet done this quest i have read up on it and yes if u confront the arch mage and kill him you will get kicked out (Yes it is stupid)

Yeah, being arch-mage isn't all it's cracked up to be. You can't legalize Necromancy, you can still get kicked out for killing guildmates, and most of the Imperial battlemages and mage scholars at the Arcane University still treat you like a noob. (If you're playing on PC there are some mods that correct those deficiencies and make being arch-mage more worthwhile).

You only get kicked out if you

A) kill him

or

B) Get caught stealing

if you paralyse him away from the chest, you should be ok...
