When you are level 1, keep 4 skill points free. As in, do not spend them. Just leave them until you're a Jedi.
At level 2, keep 5 skill points free.
At level 3, keep 6 skill points free.
At 4, keep 7, at 5, 8, and so on.
When you're a Jedi, Persuade costs 1 point to raise, but for a Soldier or a Scout it costs 2. If you wait, you pay half as much. This is good.
I want to become a scout. This apparently is a trick to reduce the costs for persuade. The point is...in which scout skill should I NOT invest?:
Computer Use
Demolitions
Awareness
Repair
Treat Injury
Please tell me and why. And i mean spending when you create your character and when you level up each time. On Taris I will only level up until level 5 because else I miss some important force powers. If I don't level up until 8 bust just until 5, will I still be able to get this trick to work?
I'd drop Demolitions or Computers, unless of course you plan to play solo. Because you can always take along a teammate for those tasks.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
I'd not bother with Computer Use or Treat Injury. You can obtain team members who can use these skills or provide benefits to skills with Force abilities.
Computer, Repair and Demolitions skill I find pretty much useless, the last time I played. I always focused more on Treat Injury and Awareness.

I would say drop off awareness, becouse every jedi class has it as class skill.

I thought awareness is good for detecting hidden land mines? If I recall correctly, the higher the awareness, you'll be able to detect more dangerous mines.

Repair is definitely not useless if you want to get the best out of HK47 DesR85.
Personally I agree with those that recommend opting out of Computer, I'd also take very little in stealth, as there are a lot of boosters available for that skill, and unless you're a rogue, there's not much point to it anyway. If stealth is needed, use Mission. who can also get very good at demolitions.

Oops, almost forgot about that. Yeah, it's good for repairing HK47 but other than that, I don't really see any other use for the 'Repair' skill, to be honest. During the course of the game, I always rely on Mission (or T3-M4) to do the repairs and the hacking. That's why I still consider this skill to be pretty much useless.
