kotor skills/feat question

Post by kingjohn »

alright, my question is about about the fact that first you can choose a scoundrel/scout/soldier and after that you can become a jedi.

if you choose your first class, should you level up on Taris? I heard that if you do so, you will have about 12 force powers instead of 18. But if you level up on dantooine when you become a jedi class, you won't really have the advantages of the skills of a scoundrel. And you may be glad if you manage to use your persuading skills.

what is your advice about leveling up?

a great admirer of Game banshee's great walkthroughs and strategy guides!

Its a matter of personal choice. I usually choose to level up to 6 on Taris then wait til Dantooine before I level up further. This way I get the benefits of my first class but at the same time get an extra couple of jedi levels. Don't worry too much about how many powers you get though as I've always found that I had plenty of those anyway even when I levelled up as you are supposed to (i.e. up to level 8 on Taris).

hm, okay.

what does this mean btw?

NOTE: Force powers effects based on level reference the character's total levels in all classes.

I think it means that if a force power has an effect that is based on your characters level (eg. say it was more powerful the higher your level) then it uses your total level not your jedi level.

ok thnx,

and what do you think about the classes of Revan, Mr sir?
Personally I think Revan was a scout, because Atton in Kotor II was obviously a scoundrel and liked playing pazaak.. and I don't know...a jedi guardian or consular...and in Kotor II there are on Dxun some scouts which are enemies from the mandalorians and in Kotor I you have to fight them..although those might be evil mandalorians.

and btw: the jedi masters say that Revan is willful and headstrong..what means headstrong? Is it so that if you become a consular you will get more wisdom and guardian/sentinel more persuading?

Please tell me your thoughts about this. I could put some points in persuading as well I guess. In kotor I the avatar of revan has scout clothing.

Welcome to the forums. :) All of these questions have been dealt with before in separate, very long threads in our KotoR database. :D Please use our search function to find these, instead of re-asking them all, again. The site owner doesn't like duplicate threads for information we already have--he says it all slows boards down.

With that in mind, thread closed. But feel free to check our walkthrough, our database, and to ask questions that aren't answered in each.
