I Need Help:The Ultimate Heist (360 Version)

After leaving the Hall of Epochs I went into the door (Portal) that sends you into the Imperial Guard Quarters & was stopped almost instantly, Not Sure if killing the 7 or 8 Guards would make me forfeit the quest i decided to go to Prison.

After returning to the ive found i can’t use the door (Portal) again it says i need a key and the door can’t be picked, as well as the Door that lead's into that area from the chamber area.

Is there some hidden passage im missing in case of this happening or a NPC i haven’t seen yet that i can kill, or is there no other way then to start a new game and get it done that way?
