HI
The only RPGs I've ever played are Kotor 1 and Kotor 2
And I love this type of games, but don't really know what else to try
Here is what I'm looking for:
science fiction stuff, future, or alternate reality, doesn't matter, as long as there is technology, devices, guns etc. just like in Kotor. Of course mixed with some mysticism (powers, good, evil etc.) but that's optional
And of course, 3d with great graphics like kotor
In short, something technological (not pure fantasy genre) with great graphics
Anything such?
Fallout sounds like a great theme, but is there a sequel that is built like kotor (close 3d perspective etc.) or is it all above heads like before?
Something else out there?
a recommendation?

It's just for the XBox 360, unfortunately, but it sounds like the upcoming game, Mass Effect may be to your liking.

Hmm, Half-life I've heard a LOT of good things about. Might check that out. Dunno if this was any good, but just scrolling GB's games, Deus Ex might be worth while too.
And if you can withstand going modern and not total sci fi, you might check out Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines

Isn't the Half-Life series FPS? I thought this person is looking for RPGs. Anyway, to be on topic, as what the others had mentioned, the upcoming Mass Effect (XBox 360) and the Deus Ex series (PC). I also think that the upcoming Bioshock might suit your taste as well.Siberys wrote:Hmm, Half-life I've heard a LOT of good things about. Might check that out.
''They say truth is the first casualty of war. But who defines what's true? Truth is just a matter of perspective. The duty of every soldier is to protect the innocent, and sometimes that means preserving the lie of good and evil, that war isn't just natural selection played out on a grand scale. The only truth I found is that the world we live in is a giant tinderbox. All it takes...is someone to light the match" - Captain Price
Well, the Half-Life series are FPSes and I played both of them before. They're both good though Half-Life 2's story is still not complete yet as Half-Life 2 just left the end hanging and Valve decided to use episodic content to complete the Half-Life 2 story.Siberys wrote:I could be wrong about half-life too, but nonetheless, I've heard good things about the game.

To answer your last question buzeel1, Fallout 2 uses the same engine as the first one. So it is a 3rd person view with 2D graphics. Both Fallouts are very good IMHO.
I agree with DesR85 and consider Half-Life a FPS. Where I disagree with him is on the pleasure it gave me. I found that game extremely repetitive and boring and uninstalled all the expansions without playing them. I mean no offense DesR85 by the way.
