I wish to play a LAN version of the basic campaign, with my teenage kids as party members on a home LAN
The readme suggests that on choosing Multiplayer you then get the option to choose LAN or internet. I can't be clicking in the right places, because I can only find the option to create an internet game, not a LAN option. Can anyone give me some simple guidance here for an old gamer?
Also, on the same general topic, I'd be interested in any comments from others as to how well playing the campaign over a LAN works. For example, will my kids see all the same NPC and story dialogues? Can their characters readily replace the NPCs that might otherwise assist a single player? Also, their PCs are a bit older than mine - does me hosting the game take some of the load off their PCs, or is the efficiency still limited due to local graphics display burden?
Thanks for any help, Greg
