Enchanting Question

Does it matter what level you are when you enchant? For example. I have found that when I use a grand soul gem to enchant a piece of armor with the shield spell, it gives me +10 to shield. Would that bonus be higher if I was a different level?

I dont think it really matters what level you are. I have a char at level 25 and a char at level 12 and they both get a +10 shield with a grand soul gem. I think all that matters is the soul gem that you use.

And the soul inside the soul gem. It doesn't really matter if you have a grand soul gem if there is a lesser soul in it.

You can still use it, but the quality of the enchantment wont be as good as if the soul would have been grand-level.
