SoU Puzzle - can't be beaten? *spoiler*

Post by riddleofsteel »

I am in the elven crypt and I figured out how to get to the pedestal to take the cloak, but if the cloak is in my inventory, retracing my steps exactly kills me every time. The only way I can get out of that accursed room is to put the cloak back on the pedestal. Is that a bug?

The couple of times I did that puzzle I just made a mad dash to the one side, and got out of the immediate area as quickly as I could. If you have any potions of endurance, aid etc. try downing them before you dash, they might help too.

Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.

No offense, but it's easy. Just read the plaque before entering the field. You have to stay on the tiles that are connected to the pedastal to safely get their. On the way back, the lines of connection are removed, but you have to stay on tiles that aren't connected to the pedastal. If you have a problem with remembering the connected tile locations, save before you enter the puzzle, so you can look at the puzzle image in your saved game.
