How much of each class were you planning? It doesn't look like a great mix to me.

Of course it's a great mix. I think he's talking about Fighter(9)/Sorc(1)/RDD(10)
Pretty much as far as you can get in terms of melee prowess imo :>

Well, he talked about having a low AC, which made me think he might be trying to do more with the sorcerer class than just unlock RDD. If you're just trying to be a melee fighter, do you think a fighter / RDD mix would be better than a fighter / weapon master mix?

Not necessarily better, but equal due to the huge strength bonus. And you get a huge style bonus ;)

It's not a bad build if you do it properly. Meaning, you have to build it right for what you want it to do. If you want a high strength fighter, you only need either 1 or 2 levels of Bard or Sorcerer to get access to the RDD PrC. Realistically, if you take 2 levels of Sorc or Bard, 8 levels of Fighter or perhaps Barbarian, and then 10 levels of RDD, you can get 4 attacks per round.

If you take 8 levels of Bard, 2 of fighter, and 10 RDD, you get 3 attacks per round, 0-3rd level bard spells, which includes a lot of buff spells, and good saves all around. Combining the Battle caster feat with mithril full plate, and you can cast your spells in full plate armor without any penalties. Haste will even out the attacks to 4/rd, which is the equivalent of a 16th level fighter. This isn't a bad build to be honest, it gives you a number of options, including stealth, armor and spells to use, not to mention bard songs and lore bonuses.
