Disappointments with G3 (Who don't pass G3 not recommended)

Post by XawBlade »

I'm very disappointet of Gothic III, bacause there is no more that feeling of gothic. I have played g1 ang g2 couple times bacause the story and the skils system was very good, but in g3 story is boring, skil and fighting system is bad and monotonous, for example; you are 25lvl, you can kill any orc "jus hiting left mouse button", but if you intend to kill an animal you have to try hard, if he hits you firs, its big probability that you don't stay alive.
And the storyend is absolutely uninteresting.
Shame for PB!

Sorry for my English.

By and large, these are accusations, but you haven't written anything here to back them up:

g3 story is boring,

What makes it different and more boring than in G1 and G2, in your opinion?

skil and fighting system is bad and monotonous,

Every other person I've heard has praised the skill system as really livening matters up. Why do you find it "monotonous?" And why is the fighting system bad, compared to previous games in the series?

for example; you are 25lvl, you can kill any orc "jus hiting left mouse button", but if you intend to kill an animal you have to try hard, if he hits you firs, its big probability that you don't stay alive.

Yes, the stun bug, that apparently being worked on, now. So what? There are tons of bad bugs in all new games. There were quite a few in G1 and G2 of equal severity when it first came out, as I recall. But this isn't a problem of game balance. This is a problem with a fix on the way.

And the storyend is absolutely uninteresting.

How so? Again, how does this seem uninteresting compared to the other games?

It sounds as though you're just ranting, with respect, rather than providing evidence to back your views.

I want to say that the story don't involve like in g1 an g2 ( by the way g2 story was glorious!!). In the beginning when I played gothic3 I felt that wonderful spirit of gothic, but thet was not to long, about to 24, 26lvl. I notice theat nothing is changing, all is the same, and in that time it was starting to be boring.
And then I thought that this gothic is don't so good and glorious like g1 and
g2 :( .
Fighting system: I sayd thet fighting system is monotonous because, you can kill everybody jus pushing left mouse button. For example I killed all orcs in vengar just like that, and that is not monotonous? In g1 and g2 you have to block, use left and right strikes and in that way you staid alive.
I don't say that g3 is very bad, just maybe I expected much mor from PB.

You say the story is bad, that it wasn't involving, yet you have yet to explain or give evidence to back this up. Why was it not involving? What parts of the story threw you off in gothic 3?

Also, as for the orc animal thing, I dunno about the bug, but that makes sense the way it works as it is (just from reading the text in this thread). You go up against an orc, it's still a humanoid, slightly stronger granted but still mortal and about as killable as a normal human. You go up against a bear, you really gotta think about how to kill it. I mean, it's a freakin bear, stabbing it once or twice will not bring it down.

It goes you, the dirt, the worms inside of the dirt, Popo's stool, Kami, then Popo.
