Party formation: how?
One of the things I really disliked about KotoR was the way they stuck your PC out front during and following cutscenes. You could be trailing behind another character by 20 feet; but when that other character got into a cutscene, you were jumped to the front of the line. Make that really hate, now that I'm playing a sorc in NWN2. Naturally, I want her back behind my NPC fighter, but no--the game insists on putting her right in front of people who want to kill her, following dialogs.

To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
You'll just have to accept it.
(Edit: I have a similar problem with my Monk. She's only good in 1 on 1 situations. There is usually a short delay after a cutscene, just be quick to pause, change characters and run in front of them and draw their attention away from your main.)

I hate that too, but I think moving the sorc or mage at the back of the party to the front only adds more maladroit behavior--it's straight out of the KotoR series. Funny, we didn't have those problems back before KotoR.Xandax wrote:Well - it wouldn't be much of a problem if just the path finding was better and my main character wouldn't run around like a headless chicken when I click somewhere safe, thus invoking countless Attacks of Opportunity![]()

Not after a "cut-scene" where the NPCs talk to your (main) character. Then they get rearranged which can be deadly for a "soft-character".Lucita wrote:Doesn't the character you currently highlight stand in front of the others ? Tragic. It should definitely be adressed in the next patch. That being said, there is probably little we or anyone can do to make that happen..
