I am considering buying the NWN Platinum Pack.
Now.. I will admit up front that I was quite let down by the original NWN without its expansions or anything. I had just finished playing BG2... so NWN fell exceedingly short of my expectations.
However, I know what to expect at this point, and I've heard from a number of sources that the expansions make a considerable difference. At its current price of around $15 USD, I'm not worried about the cost, but I would like to know if it is worth installing on my machine...
Any opinions would be most welcome

Not really worth it lest it comes with Kingmaker. Kingmaker was decent, as was Witches Wake, but otherwise you're right, the expansions are the only worth while things.
Infinite dungeons wasn't even that great, it was kinda like there last ditch chance to appeal to the audience.
Meh, just my opinion. I like witches Wake and Kingmaker, but I don't know your gaming preferences, so I won't be the guy "KINGMAKER IS UBER 1337 PWNZOR$!!!!!!!!!!!"
Listen up maggots, Mr. Popo's 'bout to teach you the pecking order.
It goes you, the dirt, the worms inside of the dirt, Popo's stool, Kami, then Popo.

Okay, to give you an idea, my favourite games, ever, are BG2 and PS:T. I also like Morrowind..but only after installing something like 150 mods onto it...
I tend to favour roleplaying over powerplaying, I like NPC interaction and a good story.

Witch's Wake and Kingmaker are "decent" about that me thinks.

Reading into it, Platinum comes with HoTU and SoU, Diamond comes with Witch's Wake and Kingmaker along with those other two expansions.
