Help with Necromancer Moon (spoilers)
This is my first post so if I do something wrong, please teach me. I am having trouble with Necromancer's Moon after I talk to Bethiel, the Orrerry lady, and get the Hastily Written note from Falcar. When I return to Raminus to share that info with him, as directed by my journal, he does not ask me about it or give me any option allowing me to bring it up. I know about Dark Fissure, been there, seen the red light, cleared out the cave, killed everything there, no closure. Is there some code or something I can insert to force Raminus to ask? I have reloaded earlier saves, redone the whole MAges Guild journey and I still reach this point and get stopped. Please help.
If you want to try one more thing before using a console code, here's a thought (and might be your only option if you're on 360)...
I'm not sure if this will fix your problem, but you need to actually witness a black soul gem being created. Which seemed like a problem the first time I did the quest because like you, I had already killed all the necromancers. So, there was nobody left to do the deed. Then I realized the note told me everything I needed to know, so I <spoiler> popped an empty grand soul gem into the altar, hit it with a soul trap spell, and voila - I got the message sending me to the next stage of the quest, plus I got a black soul gem out of the deal.

Can the answer to this question be "No"?
