Update to 1.68, people :)

I hope this is allowed.

Update 1.68 brought the ability to SEE cloaks you have equipped onto your character. I just started up my game and spent a minute wondering what the heck was hanging off my wizard's shoulders.

hmm, never noticed that when I upgraded to the latest patch

Out of interest, what are you graphics settings - are they set on high as I normally play it on medium to low graphics?

Texture Pack: 64 meg or higher

I changed that to a lower setting ( vid quality: low ) but that didn't change anything. Here's a screenshot of my char in the OC. What she's wearing there is the Cloak of the High Forest. [ATTACH]3575.vB[/ATTACH] ( screenshot taken with lowest graphic setting, actually )

Take a look at your Toolset and try to create a cloak through the Item Wizard? Not only do the cloaks look differently, but you can also assign them different colours now, as well.

I used the latest patch for the Diamond edition from the official site. I think they announced a couple of weeks ago that some premium mod or other would have visible and animated cloaks, so maybe they included this as an update for everyone?

I think I may need to get that patch then - maybe I have an older patch and not that one. I thought I had the latest one but I can be a bit stupid sometimes

Autopatch

The patching system installed with the game is pretty useless, people. I had to manually download the patch for it to work.

And also, you can dye the cloaks different colours.
