I just got game couple weeks ago. Been playing since Sunday. Now I get
this" conflict with disc emulator software detected". It is original disc. Now I can't play the game.
Has anyone had this problem? How did you solve it?

So do you have a disk emulator installed? And did you buy the game? If so, where?

Well, I've experienced problems while running other antivirus programs as well.

I would advice you to try and see if McAfee runs some sort of "contninued" protection of the harddrive (Norton calls it autoprotect) which scans your harddrive on changes, for mallicious(sp?) files. That could have influence on it.
Also - check if there is some "anti-script" or "script protection" settings as well in your control center, as that also can influence such things.

But good thing that you found out why your game wasn't playing, and hopefully your diagnosting can be helpfull to others who might have similar problems :)

Help Help Help!

I bought Deus Ex: Invisible War like last year sometime and it ran fine on my old pc (although had to run it on low graphic :S )I now have a new pc but the game wont work!!! Everytime i try to start the game it come up with "Conflict with Disc Emulator Software detected"
I know this is to do with the game's protection software clashing with an emulator on my machine...but heres the thing.... I HAVEN'T GOT ANY!!!!
I have only ever had 3 emulators on my machine: DosBox, Visual Boy Advance and CDiemulator. But all of these have long been uninstalled! I did have the zip files for these emulators still in my documents but i got rid of those too to make sure it wasn't that... but still nothing! I deleted all my roms also!
I think it may have to do with regestry files still on my pc or something, apart from that i have no idea!!
please can someone shed some light on this!!!!
cheers x

Have you tried the solution mentioned by Sweethart Rose just a few posts above? (i.e. disabling anti-virus software to see if that is causing the problem)
