Missing 10mm.. no make that Missing Body

Post by GoldenOuroboros »

Just got my grubby little hands on a copy of Fallout 2!! I'm up to the rat keeng, god whatever.. anyways I KNOW there used to be a body down there with a 10mm pistol on it.. and I can't for the life of me find it  I've found a blood pool where I thought it used to be, so I'm just hoping that I don't have to restart it. I've never tried facing the rat king with something else other than a 10mm.

Suggestions anyone?

Yes, there is a body down there with a 10mm pistol, but I don't have a screenshot I can post showing the location. Maybe someone will post one.

Did you pick up the pipe gun that you can find at Vic's place in Klamath? It's an awful weapon, but better than nothing. I don't know how well invested you are in action points, but I suggest a hit and run tactic; you don't want to stand toe to toe with this rat. As long as you have enough points to keep moving out of his range, then you can wear him down. Of course, it might take all day.

If you're really stuck, I think you can just exit the area and come back later, better equipped.

Actually, it is possible to kill that creature with the Piple Rifle also...
I know this since I always kill it with that gun.

Yes, that's possible, and really recommended if you can not kill it right away... just visit The Den, do some jobs there and by better equipment, then go to rat-hunt...

It sounds like the body decayed, it's quite possible to still kill Rat Keung though. Have you given melee or hand to hand a try yet?

Personally I've always stolen a molotov cocktail from the town greeter (near where one enters Klamath) to help me along with Rat Keung. There's again also the pipe rifle amony other things, I'm pretty sure I've done the area with and without guns though.

Spoiler
, it has yet to return

Actually, I disagree with you. I have never seen bodies which have been dead already to decay at least not that soon...

So, it sounds to me more like bug which causes that the body just is't there...
