High ranking Redoran needs help

Post by one bgg »

Hi, frustration speaks from within me.

I'm currently House Father to house Redoran and would like to move up the ladder. I have the support of 4 out of 5 councilors.

My trouble is i've got one councilor left. His requirement is that I halt mining in a certain ebony mine, near a certain imperial town. This, I understand, should be done by freeing a certain slave.

Problem is, i've freed all slaves in that particular mine soon after i had begun the game, and thought I was doing a good thing! grrrrr

So now he keeps telling me to find a way to halt mining. That can't be done, now, can it, since the mining is already stopped. I understand there is a console trick (i'm playing on PC) but i have no idea about the topic I should add to get it done already.

Help!

Xbox, or PC? If on the PC, there's a command you can enter to "reset" all locals in whatever cell you're character is in. I'm not at home to check this command for you, but googling on Morrowind, commands, and console should bring them all up. Or you can wait for someone to post it. :)
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

SPOILERS (?)

Did you free the slave Dahleena? The reason I ask, is that I don't think she's in the actual mine, I think she might be in a shack outside the mine. So you might have overlooked her. If she's still there, you can complete the quest by freeing her, because that gets the other slaves to revolt.

I think it's possible to complete the quest by killing mine operators Secunia and Stlennius Vibato, but I don't like this option, and I've never used it. So I can't say how well it works.

But the "reset" command might fix things for you.

I'm playing on Xbox and I've been pissed off by this bug for at least a couple days now. Am I screwed, or is there a way to get past this? I can't find Secunia or Stlennius Vibato. Does anyone know where they are? I'm level 40-something, my level 3 stronghold is loaded with all of my treasures, so I don't really care about rewards. I know he's not going to give me an artifact I can sell at the Mournhold Museum of Artifacts, let alone something I'd be willing to use (I use equipment I enchant myself most of the time, exeptions being Moon-And-Star and the Hunter's Amulet of Strength). Again, does anyone know where Secunia and Stlennius Vibato are? My Crystal Blade of Sacred Fire is ready. :)
