Homing arrows

Post by Raven Avenger »

I am sure that I am not the only one to notice it, but have you tried to turn at 90o when you see an arrow flying at you, the arrow turns too!
I know that really an arrow fly faster than you can turn it (exept for diablo: the arrows are flying like hovering snail) but it's funny to see a homing arrow.

That's right. Only in BG1 (before you install TotSC), missiles travel much slower. This was especially apparent when throwing loads of darts at a monster that walked by. You'd see the darts making all sorts of crazy bends and turns. ;)

You know, I think that when you press "space bar" when a missile is just near you, it will not deal damage. But I am really not sure...

Missile and spell effects apply when they strike the target. A fast enough target can flee the area and avoid the effect. However, closing a door will not disrupt the effect.

I myself have moved around a corner while an arrow was coming for me, and it still hit, it went clean through the brick wall too! BS!

If you keep this up forever, will a spell projectile ever "run out of duration"?

They'll certainly not run out of range... I've been hit with Symbols from across two screens. :D

If you switch areas you'll avoid the spell, but if you run for quite some distance in the same area, it'll just follow you everywhere you go.
