A few years back my friend was given a copy of Divine Divinity as a birthday present, I played it, and have to admit that it was an amazing game.

I had always meant to get him a copy of Beyond Divinity, but I could never seem to be able to find a copy.

Is the game still in production?

Production ... not really ... but you *can* get it new from [url="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0001MBCD6/ref=nosim/002-1368521-3358447?n=468642"]Amazon[/url]. And for ~$8.
